Sustainability is a high priority in our design and manufacturing process. All our timbers are Forest Stewardship Council certified, meaning they are grown and harvested in the most environmentally sustainable way. Prioritising longevity in our design and craftsmanship techniques ensures our pieces will stay in your homes and out of landfills. Our workshop also minimises waste by donating offcuts to community charity sheds and sawdust to local farmers for mulch. As much as possible, materials and workshop supplies are sourced locally, reducing transportation emissions and supporting local businesses.
-
Health is a huge priority for us, especially for pieces that you spend so much of your life in direct contact with. We prioritise using the most natural, low VOC, quality finishes and materials. Our natural hard wax oil is very low tox, with very low VOC and is certified food safe, so you can safely eat straight off your table tops. Which also means it's safe for little ones who might like to taste test your pieces in the home.

We offer a 5 year manufacturer warranty for residential and 3 year for commercial pieces.

Generally, we prefer to supply our own timber so that we can ensure the highest quality and sustainability standards in our pieces. If you are after a particular timber species that isn’t listed as an option, we are open to sourcing that for you from a quality and sustainable source. If you have an exceptional reason why you wish to supply your own timber, we will consider on a case-by-case basis, please note that warranty terms may change in this circumstance.

This can be a bit more complex than you expect, but so important to get it right before you order your table. Decide how many people you would like to seat and what kind of chairs you would like to use. Be mindful that chairs with arms tend to be wider than those without. Typically, you want to allow a minimum of 600mm width per person at the table, add more if you are looking at a wider chair or want to feel more spaced apart. Also consider where the legs on the table are. You may need help calculating a custom size table with the proportional spacing between the legs. We are happy to do some dimensioned drawings of your custom table if needed. Consider also the shape of the table that will suit your space the best. The oval shape allows for extra room to walk around the table if you have a small dining space; however, you will typically seat fewer people. Rectangle tables are best for maximum seating capacity, but will need extra room to circulate around. Round tables suit a more square dining space, be mindful that the 4 legs on the edge of the table dictate that you can only seat multiples of 4, eg, 4, 8, 12 people.

As our pieces are all handmade to order, unfortunately, we do not offer change of mind returns, refunds, or exchanges. This is why we ensure we have confirmed your sizing and timber selections before we start making, so we can be confident you will love your pieces and they will fit beautifully in your spaces.

To remove dust and light stains, we recommend using a lightly water dampened soft cloth and gentle wiping. Please don’t use harsh cleaning products or scrubbing cloths that could scratch or strip the oil from the finish. We recommend everyday cleaning with water or a gentle plant based soap. Osmo also makes their own “Interior Spray Cleaner” for daily use on light stains. For cleaning tough stains, Osmo sell a product called “Osmo Liquid Wax Cleaner” that can be buffed in by hand. This product can also be used to rejuvenate your finish if you wish to buff it over the whole piece occasionally. This is a great way to maintain the finish without re-oiling the piece.
